Hoosiers Wrestle a Pair of Matches at National Duals

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The #19 Indiana University wrestling team came up just one match win away from upsetting #9 Wisconsin at the National Duals on Saturday. Four individual Hoosiers arose victorious in the 19-15 team defeat, including a pin by redshirt freshman Matt Ortega in the 133-lbs. bout.
Defending 125-lbs. national champion Angel Escobedo notched a `W' against the Badgers, downing Drew Hammen, 3-1. As previously mentioned, Ortega then earned a fall by sticking Wisconsin's Tom Kelliher early in the second period at the 3:34 mark.
In the 157-pound match, Indiana's Matt Coughlin won a tight one. The Evansville, Ind., native took a 3-2 decision over Ben Jordan. Eric Cameron could also be found in the win column on Saturday with a five-point victory (6-1) over Wisconsin's Mike Felling.
