PREVIEWING THE 2009-10 SEASON
The Indiana women's basketball program enters the 2009-10 campaign with one of the youngest and most athletic teams in the program's history. Despite their youth, the 2009-10 Hoosiers boast one of the most dynamic scoring combinations in the Big Ten, athleticism around the perimeter, a solid supporting cast, a sprinkling of talented freshmen, and a head coach who has enjoyed unprecedented success in her first three seasons in Bloomington. Despite their youth, the Hoosiers believe that they have the talent and determination to make another trip to a postseason tournament in 2009-10.

NOTING THE 2008-09 SEASON:
ROAD WARRIORS
Indiana posted a winning road record in 2008-09 against Big Ten opponents, going 5-4 this season. The above .500 winning percentage is the Hoosiers' first against league foes since the 1985-86 season (5-4). On the season, IU recorded 12 wins outside of the Bloomington city limits and recorded six straight wins away from Assembly Hall between Nov. 25 and Dec. 29. The Hoosiers also faced opponents on an opposing court 19 times in their 32 games.
SUCCESS IN THE BIG TEN
Indiana has recorded nine winning Big Ten seasons in its history, including back-to-back over .500 seasons in 2007-08 and 2008-09 under head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. The Hoosiers' 11 wins was most since the 1984-85 season when that squad went 11-7 to finish fourth in the league standings.
