Wrestling Ranked 15th in Preseason Poll

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University wrestling team is ranked 15th nationally in the Intermat Preseason Poll. In addition, five Hoosiers are also slotted in the individual rankings. Indiana is one of seven Big Ten teams ranked in the top-25.
Three-time All-American and 2008 National Champion Angel Escobedo returns for his senior season, highlighting the IU roster with a No. 2 national ranking at 125 pounds.
Kurt Kinser (157 lbs.), Paul Young (165 lbs.), Trevor Perry (174 lbs.) and Nate Everhart (285 lbs.) are also nationally ranked to start the season. Kinser comes in at No. 12 while fellow Bloomington High South product, Young, is the 15th-ranked wrestler at 165 pounds. Perry and Everhart are each No. 16 in their respective weight classes.
The Cream and Crimson officially begin the 2009-10 campaign on Oct. 15 at the Michigan State Open.
