Wrestling Moves Up to 11th in National Poll

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head Coach Duane Goldman's IU Wrestling team is slotted 11th in the latest Intermat/NWCA national poll. Five individual Hoosiers are also nationally ranked in their respective weight classes. CLICK HERE to view the complete rankings.
Three-time All-American and 2008 National Champion Angel Escobedo is tops on the team with his No. 2 ranking at 125 pounds. Additional Hoosiers present in the rankings include: Nate Everhart (11th, 285 lbs.), Kurt Kinser (12th, 157 lbs.), Paul Young (13th, 165 lbs.) and Trevor Perry (17th, 174 lbs.).
Indiana will host their first home competition of the 2009-10 season on Saturday (Nov. 28). The Hoosiers will welcome in five teams for the Hoosier Duals inside University Gym, starting at 9 a.m. A complete event preview will be posted at IUHoosiers.com on Wednesday. The opposition will include Chattanooga, the University of the Cumberlands, Liberty, Northern Illinois and South Dakota State.
