BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University wrestling team (1-0) hosts the Hoosier Duals on Saturday, Nov. 28, inside University Gym. Six teams will compete in the event with the first round of dual matches beginning at 9 a.m.
Head Coach Duane Goldman's Hoosiers will welcome in Chattanooga (2-3), the University of the Cumberlands (1-0), Liberty (1-0), Northern Illinois (0-0) and South Dakota State (0-1) for the marathon round-robin competition which will see each team wrestle five dual matches in one day.
Indiana is ranked 11th nationally in the latest Intermat poll released on Tuesday. Nine nationally-ranked individuals are expected to hit the mats on Saturday, including five Hoosiers:
Angel Escobedo (IU), 2nd at 125 lbs.
Tyler Sorenson (SDSU), 8th at 197 lbs.
Cody Cleveland (UTC), 10th at 141 lbs.
Nate Everhart (IU), 11th at 285 lbs.
Kurt Kinser (IU), 12th at 157 lbs.
Paul Young (IU), 13th at 165 lbs.
Trevor Perry (IU), 17th at 174 lbs.
Jake Young (UTC), 19th at 174 lbs.
Tristen DeShazer (NIU), 20th at 133 lbs.
