BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head Coach Duane Goldman and his staff hauled in a trio of top-100 recruits to highlight their early signing recruiting class, which is ranked No. 16 nationally by Intermat.
Indiana signees Ryan Nieman (Bullock Creek, Mich., 141/149 lbs.), Brandon Wright (Warren Central, Ind., 125/133 lbs.) and Joe Duca (Pausboro, N.J., 125/33 lbs.) are each ranked in the top-100. Nieman and Wright are slotted No. 31 and No. 32, respectively, while Duca comes in at No. 88 nationally.
The Hoosiers have also inked Preston Keiffer (Eastern Regional, N.J., 165 lbs.), Sawyer Morris (Austin, Texas, 149 lbs.) Zach Zimmer (Clovis West, Calif., 125 lbs.). Keiffer is the 13th-ranked high school 160-pounder. Morris, meanwhile, is a Texas state placer and a preseason national All-American.
Commentary from Intermat: "Three lower weight wrestlers are among Duane Goldman's recruits, and they will look to continue Indiana's legacy of tremendous success in this area. Nieman and Keiffer will boost overall roster quality in the middleweights."
