BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers will bring spring racing action home to Lake Lemon on Saturday, March 28, when they host Eastern Michigan and Buffalo for Indiana's first 2,000-meter regatta of the season.
"The team is very excited for the upcoming weekend," said head coach Steve Peterson. "We have a very competitive group of student-athletes from top to bottom. They have trained extremely hard this year and they are excited to finally get the chance to race 2,000-meters."
Saturday racing will run from 9-10 a.m., with the best view for fans from Riddle Point Park.
On Sunday, the Hoosiers will head north to Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis to face off against Purdue and #20 Notre Dame, the first of eight ranked opponents the Hoosiers will race in the regular season.
Racing at Eagle Creek kicks off at 9 a.m.
"This weekend's races should prove to be a great opportunity to showcase our program," said Peterson. "Both of these races will give our student-athletes a good early-season test, a test which they are very ready for."
