Friday marked the first of five NCAA-mandated acclimation practices for 2009. After two practices in just helmets and shorts, the Hoosiers will have two days of practice in shoulder pads as well. After one practice in shells on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Indiana opens practice in full pads on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Indiana kicks off the 2009 campaign with its first-ever meeting against Eastern Kentucky at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. It marks the first Thursday game in Memorial Stadium's history and the first of six home games.
