OXFORD, Ohio - The No. 17 Indiana field hockey team fell on the road at Miami, 5-1, on Friday, Sept. 25, in Oxford.
Down 4-0, the Hoosiers (5-3) got on the board on a goal from redshirt sophomore Brenna Moeljadi at the 42:34 mark in the second half on an assist from senior Meg O'Connell on a penalty corner.
Moeljadi led the Hoosiers with seven shots, three of which were on goal. O'Connell took four shots, two on goal, and added an assist. Redshirt freshman Morgan Fleetwood took three shots with two on goal, junior Kelsey Kiper took two shots and senior Haley Funk had one shot on goal. Junior Alex Mann started in goal for Indiana and tallied five saves.
The Hoosiers open Big Ten action on Sunday, Sept. 27 when they take on Ohio State in Columbus at 1 p.m. ET.
