Korthauer Named Big Ten Diver of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University senior diver Amy Korthauer is the Big Ten Women's Diver of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Korthauer will represent the United States at the 2010 World Cup after her second-place finish on the platform at the USA Diving Winter National Championships in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday. Korthauer tallied 355.40 points in Saturday's final and that score was added to her semifinal total of 321.95 for a score of 677.35. She was trailing Katie Bell by 8/10ths of a point heading into the final but outscored Bell by 5.7 points in the final to secure her spot. The FINA World Cup is the premier international diving event in this non-Olympic year.
Korthauer and the Hoosiers will be back in action next week at the 2010 Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 17-20 in West Lafayette, Ind. Indiana is the defending conference champion.
