Hoosiers Upend Iowa, Stay Unbeaten at Home

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana defeated Iowa on Saturday to move to 3-2 in Big Ten play this season. The Hoosiers won 6-1, scoring wins at number one and two singles from senior Lachlan Ferguson and sophomore Jeremy Langer respectively. The Hoosiers are 12-5 on the season.
IU got the doubles point with wins at one and two. At number one, Ferguson and Josh MacTaggart battled back from a 3-4 deficit, winning five straight games, for the 8-4 win.
Ferguson won in straight sets at number one, taking down Marc Bruche, 6-4, 6-3. Langer took the win at number two, also in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4 over Nikita Zotov. Freshman Isade Juneau took down Tommy McGeorge at number five to seal the victory, putting the Hoosiers up 4-0 with his 6-0, 7-5 victory.
Indiana also scored victories at number three, where MacTaggart won 6-4, 6-4 over Reinoud Haal, and at number 4, where Santiago Gruter defeated Will Vasos 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
