CHANGZHOU, China - Indiana University standout diver Amy Korthauer took her skills to the international level, competing at the FINA Diving World Cup, the top international competition of the 2010 season, in Changzhou, China on Thursday.
Taking part in the 10-meter platform competition, Korthauer, who recently completed her Hoosier career, placed 18th overall with a score of 229.75. Teammate Haley Ishimatsu finished 13th with 311.70 points.
Korthauer earned her spot on the USA Diving squad at the FINA World Cup after placing second on the platform at the USA Diving Winter National Championships this past February. Fellow former Hoosier Christina Loukas also earned a spot on the FINA World Cup team after winning the 3-meter springboard national title in February but opted to take the summer off from diving after a grueling Olympic cycle.
