Ryan Shares Big Ten Diver of the Week Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University sophomore Laura Ryan is the co-Big Ten Diver of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Competing in the first meet of the 2011-12 season, Ryan won the 3-meter springboard title in a dual meet with Tennessee and Kentucky. Ryan's score of 370.65 is an NCAA Zone qualifying mark. She also took second in the 1-meter, tallying 290.75 points, which is also an NCAA Zone qualifier.

The Hoosier women came up short in the dual with Tennessee but defeated Kentucky to start the year at 1-1. The squad is back in action this Friday as it travels to Ann Arbor, Mich. to take on Michigan and Texas.
