Hoosiers Cozad, Korthauer Compete at Pan Am Games

GUADALAJARA, Mexico - The Indiana University diving duo of junior Amy Cozad and recent graduate Amy Korthauer finished competition Thursday in the diving events at the 2011 Pan Am Games at Scotiabank Aquatics Center in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Taking part in the synchronized platform event Thursday evening, Cozad and Korthauer just missed out on the medal stand, placing fourth with a score of 257.16. Mexico's Paola Espinoza and Tatiana Ortiz took home the gold, with Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion (Canada) earning silver and Yaima Rosario Mena and Annia Rivera (Cuba) bronze.
On Wednesday, both divers took part in the women's 10-meter platform final with Korthauer finishing ninth (262.00) and Cozad 10th (260.60). The Hoosiers were also joined in Mexico by IU head diving coach Dr. Jeff Huber, who is serving as a member of the USA Diving coaching staff.
