BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University wrestling team is headed out west this weekend to compete in one of the nation's largest tournaments all season long, the 30th Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 2-3).
Redshirt senior and returning All-American Matt Powless took a few minutes before Wednesday's practice to talk with IUHoosiers.com about the upcoming competition and his journey to the All-American stand last year. Check it out...
At the time of publication, 33 schools were registered in the 300-plus wrestlers competition, including 10 of the nation's top-25 teams according to Intermat. The field includes: Air Force, Army, Arizona State, Boise State, Brown, #19 Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, California Baptist, #5 Cornell, Drexel, #24 Edinboro, Harvard, Hofstra, Indiana #22 Kent State, Menlo College, #8 Michigan, Navy, Nebraska, Nebraska-Kearney, North Carolina, Northern Colorado, North Dakota State, North Idaho, #10 Ohio State, #14 Oregon State, #14 Pittsburgh, San Francisco State, #12 Stanford, Utah Valley, West Virginia, Western Wyoming, Wisconsin and #13 Wyoming.
