Hoosiers Stay in State This Week, Starting at Ball State

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosier Baseball team returns to classes and competition in the state of Indiana this week. Head Coach Tracy Smith's Hoosiers are scheduled for four games, starting with a 3 pm road game at Ball State on Wednesday (March 23). The weekend presents a three-game series with Evansville, a doubleheader on Saturday (March 26) in Evansville before returning to Bloomington on Sunday for the 2011 home opener (1:05 pm) vs. the Purple Aces.

Indiana - LHP Drew Leininger (1-1, 6.11 ERA) vs. Ball State - LHP Nestor Bautista (0-1, 11.17 ERA)
Probable starters for the Evansville series have yet to be determined.

Indiana defeated Ball State, 12-6, last season in Bloomington, led by Jerrud Sabourin and his 4-for-4 performance. Sabourin pulled double duty that day, also serving as the starting pitcher.
