Hoosiers Too Much for Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The No. 12 Indiana Hoosiers (18-10, 3-1 CWPA West) women's water polo team registered its third consecutive divisional victory on Saturday, defeating tournament host Bucknell, 16-7, at the Bison Invitational.
The tandem of Shae Fournier and Jakie Köhli led the way for the Hoosiers with four goals apiece. Lauren Wyckoff fired in three goals and Nicole Redder had a pair. Katie Black, Kara Butler, and Meghan Lappan notched one score each in the win.
Cassie Wyckoff played a complete 32 minutes in the cage and collected 10 saves.
Indiana led 3-2 at the end of the first period, before unleashing an eight-goal onslaught in the second stanza to take an 11-4 halftime advantage. During the second period attack, Fournier had three goals and Lauren Wyckoff had two.
Bucknell scored the only third quarter goal at the 6:20 mark.
The Hoosiers added five scores in the final stanza, while the Bison had a pair. The 16-goal effort is a season-high for the Hoosiers.
Indiana will be back in action at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday against No. 14 Hartwick.
