BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana kicks off the 2011 football season two weeks from today at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Ball State Cardinals. The Hoosiers ran approximately 130 plays during their scrimmage at Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
IU will not practice on Sunday and will return to the field for two practices on Monday. Indiana will also practice twice on Wednesday with single sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Head coach Kevin Wilson, senior wide receiver Damarlo Belcher and senior linebacker Jeff Thomas talked with IUHoosiers.com's Jeremy Gray following the scrimmage.
Belcher discussed the offense, led by quarterbacks Dusty Kiel, Edward Wright-Baker and Tre Roberson, and the Hoosiers secondary. Thomas assessed the team's defense and gave his take on IU's running backs.

Indiana's 2011 schedule kicks off with a contest against in-state foe Ball State on Sept. 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Hoosiers then host Virginia on Sept. 10 and South Carolina State on Sept. 17.
Home conference games include Penn State on Oct. 1, Illinois on Oct. 8, Northwestern on Oct. 29, and the Old Oaken Bucket game vs. Purdue on Nov. 26.
