Garret Goldman Out for Remainder of Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Redshirt freshman Garret Goldman suffered a season-ending knee injury during Indiana's season opener against Manchester University. The 197-pounder built an 8-0 lead in his collegiate debut before the injury occurred in the second period.
Goldman, the son of IU head coach Duane Goldman, was coming off a redshirt season in which he racked up 18 wins, three falls and two major decisions. He came to IU ranked 10th nationally at 189 pounds by Amateur Wrestling News and 15th in Intermat's rankings. The Bloomington, Ind., native capped off his high school career with a 40-1 senior campaign ending with an Indiana state championship. His sister, Aphten, is a senior manager for the Hoosier wrestling program.
