Huskie Duals Up Next for IU Wrestling

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University wrestling team (1-0) faces a trio of non-conference matches at the Huskie Duals, a round-robin competition, on Saturday (Nov. 10). Indiana is slated to face South Dakota State (0-0), Tiffin (0-0) and host Northern Illinois (0-0) while in DeKalb, Ill., starting with a 10 a.m. CT/11 a.m. ET dual versus the Jackrabbits.

• The Hoosiers have outscored South Dakota State by a combined margin of 113-17 in three wins over the Jackrabbits. All three duals took place in Bloomington.
• Indiana and Tiffin have never faced off in a dual match.
• IU is 12-3 all-time versus Northern Illinois and are currently riding a five-match winning streak against the Huskies.
SIX PLACE, THREE REACH FINALS AT HOKIE OPEN
Indiana's three nationally-ranked Hoosiers (Taylor Walsh, Ryan LeBlanc, Adam Chalfant) each advanced to championship bout of their respective weight classes at the Hokie Open last weekend. In addition, Joe Duca (4th place), Quin Murphy (5th) and Luke Sheridan (6th) also reached the podium.
MANCHESTER VICTORY COMES WITH COSTS
The Hoosiers opened the 2012-13 season with a 44-12 triumph over Manchester University. The only two bouts IU dropped were via injury defaults, however. Junior Mitchell Richey is expected to be out of the line-up for an extended period with a shoulder injury while redshirt freshman Garret Goldman has been lost for the season with a torn ACL.
