Previewing the 2012 Indiana Rowing Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head rowing coach Steve Peterson sat down with IUHoosiers.com to preview the 2012 season.
The Hoosiers open the spring slate with their annual Spring Break trip to Clemson, SC where they will race Clemson, Boston University, Iowa, Syracuse, Purdue and Marist on March 17. Indiana will take part in the Indiana Invitational at Eagle Creek in Indianapolis on March 25 and will race Notre Dame, Purdue and Louisville.
IU will play host to Minnesota and Wisconsin on April 7 for the Big Ten Double Dual on Lake Lemon before heading to Gold River Calif., for the Lake Natoma Invite. That regatta will feature Brown, California, Sacramento State, Stanford, Texas, Tulsa, Washington State and Wisconsin. Indiana will also send crews to East Lansing, Mich., on April 21 for a scrimmage against Michigan State and Eastern Michigan.
On April 27-28, Indiana will host the fourth annual Dale England Cup. This year's regatta features the Hoosiers battling Central Florida, Duke and Rhode Island. Indiana will follow that with the Big Ten Championships at Eagle Creek on May 13, with the NCAA Championships taking place in Camden, N.J. on May 25-27.
