200 Backstroke
Freshman Justine Ress led the Hoosiers in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:56.10, placing 28th. Freshman Lauren Jordan finished third in her heat and 29th overall with a career-best time of 1:56.22. Freshman Allie Day went 1:56.26 in prelims, finishing 30th. Junior Taylor Wohrley clocked a time of 1:57.27, placing her 39th.
100 Freestyle
Senior Brittany Strumbel went 49.60 in the 100 freestyle, placing her 41st in the field.
200 Breaststroke
Senior Allysa Vavra finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke prelims and will swim tonight’s championship final after posting a time of 2:09.06 in prelims. That is the second-fastest time in school history. Junior Ashley Specht touched the wall in 2:14.53, finishing 47th.
200 Butterfly
Sophomore Brenna MacLean placed 27th in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:57.59.
