IU Rowing Heads West to Lake Natoma Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana rowing team will make its first big trip out West when it travels to the Lake Natoma Invitational in Gold River, Calif., on April 14-15. This year's invite will feature the top three teams from the 2011 NCAA Championships in No. 8 Cal, No. 9 Stanford and No. 10 Brown. The Hoosiers will also join No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 13 Washington State, Sacramento State, Texas and Tulsa.
Indiana, who picked up 10 votes in this week's CRCA/USRowing Coaches poll, will race its First Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and First Varsity 4 crew in a series of two races on Saturday starting with a morning session at 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by an afternoon session at 6 p.m. On Sunday, the final session is scheduled to get underway at 11:10 a.m.

The Hoosiers are coming off a weekend where they played host to the Big Ten Double Duals. IU raced Minnesota in the morning session and Wisconsin in the afternoon session, falling to both schools.

Upcoming Events:
Following this weekend, the Hoosiers will return to action with a scrimmage against Michigan State and Eastern Michigan in East Lansing on Saturday, April 21, before serving as host to the fourth annual Dale England Cup on Lake Lemon, April 27-28.
