Hoosiers Medal at AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Senior Amy Cozad and former Hoosier Christina Loukas picked up medals this past week in international competition at the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Loukas, the 2009 NCAA Champion on the 3-meter springboard and 2008 Olympian, won a bronze medal in the event with a score of 325.70, finishing behind China's Wang Han (377.40) and Mexico's Arantxa Chanez (332.25). It was Loukas' second-straight top-three finish in the event after earning a bronze at the 2012 FINA Diving World Series in late April.
Loukas also teamed up with Kassidy Cook to take fourth in the synchronized 3-meter event, tallying 294.48 points. The pair earned a silver medal in the event at the 2012 FINA Diving World Series in Tijuana, Mexico.
Cozad and partner Laura Ryan earned a bronze medal in the synchronized platform competition with a score of 294.75. Cozad is coming off her best season as a Hoosier, finishing third in the platform diving event at the 2012 NCAA Championships.
Both Cozad and Loukas are preparing for the 2012 Olympic Trials, scheduled for June 17-24 in Federal Way, Wash.
