Hoosier Posts Top-12 Finish at European Championships

DEBRECEN, Hungary - A pair of Hoosiers are competing at the 2012 European Swimming Championships, highlighted by a 12th place finish from backstroker Eric Ress.
Ress, who will enter his senior season at IU this fall, finished 12th in the 200-meter backstroke while representing France with a time of 2:00.04 in the semifinals. Ress qualified for the evening session after posting a time of 2:01.21 in the morning prelims.
Rising sophomore Dorina Szekeres is also competing in Hungary, her native country, posting a finish of 17th in the 200-meter backstroke (2:16.67). Szekeres was also 36th in the 100-meter backstroke (1:05.02) and 38th in the 50-meter backstroke (30.69).
