Cozad Competes at Olympic Trials

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Indiana University senior Amy Cozad is in fourth place heading into the finals of the women's platform competition at the USA Diving Olympic Trials at the Weyerhauser Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
Cozad has 660.50 points heading into Sunday's final round, good for fourth place and 73.80 points behind leader Brittany Viola (734.30). Katherine Bell sits in second place with 703.75. The top two finishers will qualify for the U.S Olympic Team.
IU graduate Amy Korthauer is in seventh place with 612.20 points. Korthauer was third after the preliminary round with 323.10 points, while Cozad was ninth (309.35).
Competition continues Thursday with the women's 3-meter synchronized finals. Hoosier All-American and 2008 Olympian Christina Loukas is currently in second place with partner Kassidy Cook, 6.51 points behind leaders Kelci Bryant and Abby Johnson. The top pair will earn the lone U.S. spot at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. You can watch tonight's final live on NBC Sports Network from 10 p.m. through 12 a.m. ET.
