IU Rowing Teams Up with Shalom Center

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Rowing volunteered to help the local community complete a trash cleanup along 1st and Walnut Streets near the downtown Bloomington area on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Members of the team joined the Shalom Community Center and a group of about 12 other volunteers, fully equipped with garbage bags, rakes and gloves, and removed trash and debris along the roadway and around nearby neighborhoods, while sharing stories with people in the community.

IU student-athletes have partnered with the Shalom Community Center several times in the past and their recent efforts helped improve the appearance of the neighborhood and made a cleaner community.
