Weather Shortens Alabama Relays

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Indiana track and field saw the Alabama Relays come to an abrupt end on Saturday, as severe weather moved into the area and did not let up. The Hoosiers got a win and four top-three finishes on the day before the meet was called.
Caitlin Engel won the women's 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:31.86, and Brianna Johnson took second in 10:55.02 in her steeplechase debut.
Indiana's men took second in the distance medley relay, as Jordan Gornall, Nathan Pierre Louis, Rorey Hunter and Evan Esselink combined for a time of 9:53.36.
Taja Moore took third in the discus, launching a best throw of 48.10m (157-10).
