BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Mitch Ewald is tied for third on Indiana's career lists with 44 field goals, fourth with 105 extra points and sixth with 237 total points. The fifth-year senior is the school's all-time career field goal percentage leader, connecting on 44-of-55 (80.0 percent), with two blocked.
Ewald's percentage is eighth among active kickers nationally. In 24 career Big Ten games, Ewald has hit 29-of-35 (82.9) field goals.
Punter Erich Toth took over starting duties in week five last season as a redshirt freshman. He punted 48 times for a 39.5 average.
Toth placed seven punts inside the 20-yard line and recorded two 50-yarders (51, 50). The Brebeuf Jesuit graduate also served as the team's holder.
Matt Dooley has served as the team's long snapper each of the team's 24 games since his arrival in 2011. The junior earned Academic All-Big Ten honors following the 2012 campaign.
Dooley was one of 11 true freshman long snappers to start nationally in 2011. In his two seasons as long snapper, Ewald has hit 28-of-36 field goals (77.8 percent) and 72-of-73 extra points (98.6).
