Vea Finishes Second At Rocket Individual Classic

PERRYSBURG, OHIO -- Indiana sophomore Keegan Vea finished the Rocket Individual Classic in second place after a final round 79 put him at 11-over par for the two-day tournament. Andrew Havill and Will Seger also finished inside the top 10, finishing in a tie for 10th place at 17-over par.
In difficult scoring conditions on Tuesday at Belmont Country Club, with nearly half the field posting scores of 80 or higher, Vea carded a 79 to post the best finish of his young career. His previous best finish was a T20 finish at the Pinetree Intercollegiate in October 2013.
For Havill, it is his second top 10 fiinish of his career, with his other coming at the Snowman Getaway (T7) in February 2014. Seger's top 10 finish is the second of his career as well, as he logged a T3 finish at the NYX Hoosier Invitational in April 2014.
The Hoosiers will return to action Feb. 15-16, 2015, at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in Palm Coast, Florida.
