Hoosiers Fall On The Road at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Junior Awele Nwaeze, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, showed her offensive firepower with 10 kills on 17 swings, but the Indiana volleyball team dropped a three-set match at Purdue (22-25, 21-25, 14-25) on Wednesday.
Sophomore Taylor Lebo tallied eight kills and sophomore Jazzmine McDonald and senior Morgan Leach registered six kills apiece. Leach now has 984 for the career.
Sophomore Megan Tallman moved into the top-10 in career assists as she totaled 32 for the match to push her total to 1,415.
The Hoosiers (12-5, 3-2 Big Ten) host Purdue on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. IU will celebrate their 40th anniversary as they welcome back over 75 alumni and the first head coach in the history of the program, Ann Lawver.
