OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tevin Coleman
For the sixth time this season, junior running back Tevin Coleman earned IU's offensive player of the week accolades. Coleman rushed for a career-best 307 yards, the second-most in Indiana history, on a career-high 32 carries at Rutgers (9.6 average). Coleman had a 67-yard touchdown run, his fourth 60-plus yard touchdown in 2014, and a longer run of 68 yards. For the Tinley Park, Ill., native, it marked his third 200-yard rushing game of the season and fourth of his career, each sharing a program record.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: T.J. Simmons
Sophomore linebacker T.J. Simmons was recognized as an IU player of the week for the fourth time this season and third on defense. Simmons, who is tied for IU's overall lead with 58 tackles, shared team-high honors at Rutgers with seven tackles, including six solo. It marked the fifth time this seaosn that Simmons has at least shared the IU lead in stops.
Simmons also forced the first fumble of his career in the first quarter.
SCOUT TEAM PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Anthony Davis, Brandon Grubbe & Tyler Lukens
Redshirt junior running back Anthony Davis, redshirt senior safety Brandon Grubbe and redshirt junior offensive lineman Tyler Lukens were IU's scout team players of the week. David and Lukens picked up their second honor of the season, while Grubbe notched the list for the first time. Grubbe also had two tackles in the game.
