BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – In her last match at University Gym, senior Morgan Leach connected for 11 kills and hit a .529 hitting percentage as they Hoosiers fell 3-0 (18-25, 20-25, 17-25) vs. No. 10 Illinois on Saturday.
Leach, who earlier this season became the 17th IU player to record 1,000 career kills, now has 1,095, which is 16th on the Hoosiers all-time list.
Junior libero Courtney Harnish tallied nine digs to move into seventh on the Hoosiers all-time list for single-season digs with 423.
Sophomore setter Megan Tallman continued her dramatic improvement from a season ago, with 31 assists to bring her season total to 1,092 compared to 689 in her freshman season.
Sophomore Allison Hammond recorded her second consecutive match with at least eight kills and junior middle blocker Awele Nwaeze led IU with three blocks.
The Hoosiers (15-15, 6-12) conclude the regular season on the road next week with matches at Michigan on Wednesday Nov. 26 and at Minnesota on Friday Nov. 28.
