Hoosiers Drop Five Set Match at Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa. - Junior Amelia Anderson led the Indiana volleyball team with 17 kills and 14 digs, but the Hoosiers fell at Iowa in five sets (18-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 15-17).
Also recording double-digit kills for Indiana, sophomore Taylor Lebo had 12 and junior Awele Nwaeze registered 11 kills. Megan Tallman tallied 43 assists and junior libero Courtney Harnish posted 14 digs.
Harnish moved into 10th on the Hoosiers all-time single season digs list and now has 395 for the season.
With Iowa leading 12-9 in the fifth set, the Hoosiers (14-11, 5-8) used a 4-0 run as Lebo connected on one of her three aces and IU went up 13-12. The teams traded the next four points and a kill from senior Morgan Leach gave the Hoosiers a match point, up 15-14. Iowa would take the next three points on a kill, ace and attack error from the Hoosiers to win the fifth set 17-15 to take the match.
Lebo also posted a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs and had three of the Hoosiers 10 aces.
Up next the Hoosiers travel to Nebraska for a match on Saturday Nov. 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
