Newton Named November IU Scholar-Athlete of the Month

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore linebacker Clyde Newton has been recognized as Indiana Athletics Scholar-Athlete of the month for November.

Christa Sist-Morris, Assistant Director of Retention and Learning Services, on Newton:

"Clyde is a sophomore who has been tremendous this semester. Not only does Clyde have high grades in all classes, but he has put in many hours to go above and beyond. He has shown his teammates what a student-athlete should look like and is a great leader on the football team. Regardless of how hard practice is, he will always come in with a great attitude and work ethic. He has shown that with hard work comes great rewards. I am so proud of Clyde!"
