500 Freestyle
A trio of Hoosiers will swim the championship final of the 500 free tonight, led by defending champion Lindsay Vrooman. Vrooman is the fourth seed after going 4:41.16 in prelims. Haley Lips earned the seventh spot with a 4:44.41, while a career best of 4:45.00 from Stephanie Marchuk earned the eighth and final spot. IU will have a pair of swimmers in the bonus final in Brenna MacLean (4:48.13) and Madelon Webb (4:49.74). Those are career best times for MacLean and Webb.
200 Individual Medley Dorina Szekeres topped her personal best by 4/100ths of a second to win heat eight in 1:57.87. She qualified third for tonight's championship final and is joined by Bronwyn Pasloski who finished seventh with a career-best time of 1:54.75. Gia Dalesandro went a career best 1:59.50 and will swim the consolation final. Bailey Pressey won heat seven by putting up a career time of 2:00.59, a career best by just over two seconds and an NCAA B cut. That was also good for a spot in the B final. Olivia Barker won heat three with a career best of 2:02.70, taking nearly six seconds off her previous time and placing 28th overall. Rachel Thompson clocked a 2:10.43, putting her 70th.
50 Freestyle
Kait Flederbach will represent the Hoosiers in the championship final of the 50 freestyle after posting a 22.50 in prelims. That is the fifth-fastest time in IU history. Stephanie Armstrong went a career best 23.01 to make the bonus final. Claudia Di Capua finished 64th with a PR of 23.85, while Audrey Scott was 84th with her career time of 24.37.
