Spring Practice Report No. 2 - Bennett & Richardson

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Tim Bennett led the nation with 20 pass breakups and 21 passes defended in 2013. He moved from safety to cornerback during the offseason and started all 12 games.
The senior paced the team with 61 solo tackles and finished fourth with 73 stops overall. Bennett added 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery. He shared the top spot among Big Ten defensive backs with his 61 solos.
Richardson started the final 10 games at defensive tackle and appeared in all 12 last season. The senior led all Indiana defensive linemen with 39 tackles (20 solo) and added 3.5 tackles for loss (nine yards) and three pass breakups.
A three-time game captain, Richardson recorded three games with five-or-more stops and matched a career-high with eight tackles against Navy.
