UPCOMING SCHEDULE
April 25-26 -- Dale England Cup (No. 13 Indiana, Alabama, No. 10 Notre Dame, Rhode Island) -- Lake Lemon (Bloomington, Ind.)
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 13 Indiana Rowing team will close out the regular season with the sixth annual Dale England Cup on Lake Lemon in Bloomington, starting with an afternoon session at Riddle Point Park at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, April 25. The Hoosiers are playing host to No. 10 Notre Dame, Alabama and Rhode Island. Racing will continue on Saturday, April 26, beginning with a morning session at 8:30 a.m., followed by an afternoon session at 11:50 a.m. Parking and admission is free to the public.
The Hoosiers, who moved up from No. 20 to No. 13 in this week's CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll, knocked off a series of top-20 opponents last weekend at the Clemson Invitational in both the First and Second Varsity 8 races, combining for three wins and a pair of top-two finishes. This weekend's Dale England Cup will give Indiana another shot at a ranked foe when No. 10 Notre Dame, along with Alabama and Rhode Island visit Bloomington, all of which are making return trips to the regatta. The Fighting Irish enter this weekend's racing as the defending Dale England Cup champion after taking last year's title with a team score of 118 points. Iowa finished second (98 points), Indiana took third (84 points) and Alabama finished fourth (60 points) a year ago.
