IU's Varsity 4 Named B1G Boat of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Rowing's First Varsity 4 crew, made up of Kelsey Cundiff, Katie Dreessen, Macey Elser, Grace Barbara and Emma Miller, were named Big Ten Boat of the Week after sweeping last weekend's competition at the Dale England Cup.
The Hoosiers opened the regatta on Friday, April 25, edging No. 10 Notre Dame by two seconds with a time of 7:12.1. IU then went on to dominate Rhode Island and Alabama, beating the Rams by 19 seconds with a time of 7:27.4, and besting the Crimson Tide by nearly 30 seconds with a time of 7:23.4
Indiana's last Big Ten Boat of the Week came on March 19, 2013. The Hoosiers will spend the next few weeks preparing for the 2014 Big Ten Rowing Championships, which will take place at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis on Sunday, May 18.
