Seger Leads Indiana After Two Rounds of Irish Creek Collegiate

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Indiana freshman Will Seger led the Indiana team on the first day of the Irish Creek Collegiate at the Golf Club at Irish Creek in North Carolina with rounds of 74 and 70 to sit in a tie for 16th place individually. The team is in 11th place out of 16 teams at the tournament with a score of 585 after two rounds, but just six shots out of fifth place.
Seger, a freshman, registered five birdies in his first round on his way to a 1-under par 70. He followed it up with a 74 in round two for a total of 144 through two rounds. Sophomore Max Kollin had an eagle and a birdie en route to a 73 in his first round. He posted another round of 73 in the second round, carding three birdies to tie for 27th place individually.
Senior David Mills struggled out of the gate in round one, finishing with a 78. But he rebounded with a 72 in round two. Nicholas Grubnich matched Mills' total score of 150 by opening with a 73 and following it up with a 77 in round two.
Rounding out the lineup for Indiana was Andrew Fogg, who had rounds of 81 and 72 on the day.
