Hoosiers Compete at FINA Diving World Cup

SHANGHAI, China - Four divers with Indiana University ties are competing this week at the FINA Diving World Cup in Shanghai, China.
On Friday, NCAA Champion and 2012 Olympic medalist Nick McCrory, who is doing his postgraduate training in Bloomington under the direction of IU head diving coach Drew Johansen, finished fifth in the prelims of the men's 3-meter springboard competition with a score of 478.25 to advance to Saturday's final round.
Jessica Parratto, who will begin her first year diving for IU this fall, placed 14th in the women's 10-meter platform semifinal after scoring 312.05 points, just two spots out of a place in the final round.
Emad Abdelatif, who completed his IU career this past spring, finished 32nd in the 3-meter competition competing for his native Egypt, tallying a score of 345.90.
Earlier in the week, former Indiana All-American and Big Ten Champion Amy Cozad teamed up with Katrina Young in the women's 10-meter synchro platform event, finishing eighth with a score of 281.82.
