Snodgrass Advances to 50 Back Final

GLASGOW, Scotland - Indiana University junior Brooklynn Snodgrass has advanced to the final of the 50-meter backstroke at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Snodgrass put up a time of 28.25 to finish second in the first of two semifinal heats Monday afternoon, putting her fourth overall into Tuesday's final. Snodgrass had the sixth-fastest prelim swim of the morning, clocking a 28.80 to advance into the semifinals.

This is the second championship final for Snodgrass at the Games as she finished eighth in the 100-meter backstroke for her native Canada on Saturday.
