Hoosiers Continue Action at Speedo Junior Nationals

IRVINE, Calif. - Members of the Indiana University Swim Team continued to perform well on day four of the Speedo Junior National Championships in Irvine, California.
Sophomore Stephanie Marchuk finished 16th in the 200 freestyle after going 2:02.66 in the consolation final. She advanced to the evening swim with a 2:02.86 in prelims. In the men's race, sophomore Max Irwin won the bonus final to place 17th overall with a time of 1:51.87 Saturday night. He finished 17th overall in the morning with a time of 1:52.87.
Freshman Brandon Colonis took part in prelims of the 200-meter breaststroke, finishing tied for 61st with a time of 2:24.01.
The final day of competition takes place Sunday with Colonis in the 200 individual medley, Marchuk in the 1,500 free and freshman Blake Pieroni in the 50 freestyle.
