Hoosiers Wrap up IU Winter Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana women's tennis team wrapped up its first tournament of the 2015 season on Sunday afternoon in the IU Tennis Center. The Hoosiers picked up three doubles wins on the final day of the IU Winter Invitational.
Over the entire tournament, Indiana went 13-4 in doubles play and 8-5 in singles matches.
On Sunday, Indiana's Katie Klyczek was part of two doubles victories with two different partners. She and Sarah Baron teamed together to knock off Abilene Christian's Lucile Pothier and Carli Knezevich, 8-3. Klyczek later played with Mary Beth King to knock off Marquette's Ana Pimienta and Erin Gebes in an exciting finish, 8-7 (2).
Indiana's third triumph of the day came from the duo of Alecia Kauss and Kim Schmider as the tandem downed ACU's Erin Walker and Whitney Williams, 8-5.
The dual schedule will begin this upcoming weekend in the IU Tennis Center as the Hoosiers host Miami (OH) on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. ET. The Hoosiers will host a double-header on Sunday, Jan. 25 beginning at 11 a.m. with Western Michigan and Eastern Illinois visiting Bloomington.
