Hoosiers Post 10th Place Finish at Quail Valley

VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Indiana men's golf team entered Tuesday's final round of the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in 12^th place, but moved up two spots to finish in 10^th place after a final round team score of 293 gave them a total score of 888 for the tournament.

The best round of the day for Indiana was turned in by junior Keegan Vea, whose 2-under par round of 70 included four birdies and one bogey. For the tournament, he finished with a score of 221 (+5) and a tie for 34^th.

Redshirt freshman Jake Brown also finished the tournament with a score of 221 after his final round 77.

Senior Max Kollin went out in 4-over par 40 but carded an eagle on the par 5 fifth hole and a birdie on the 7^th hole on his way to a 74. His score for the tournament was 223, which put him in a tie for 41^st.

Andrew Havill, a junior, had an up-and-down day on Tuesday with four birdies, eight bogeys and six pars en route to a 76 to give him a score of 227 for the tournament and a tie for 61^st.

Completing the IU lineup was sophomore Brendon Doyle, who posted a 73 in his final round that featured two birdies, 14 pars, one bogey and a double bogey. He finished with a score of 228 for the tournament and a tie for 65^th.

Indiana will conclude the fall schedule with a trip to Maui, Hawaii for the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic that runs from Nov. 6-8.
