Wrestling Announces 2015-16 Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Wrestling head coach Duane Goldman and the wrestling coaching staff have announced their 2015-16 season schedule. The Hoosiers will take part in five tournaments and 13 duals, nine of which will take place in the University Gym in Bloomington.
The 2016 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, hosted this season by the University of Iowa, will take place March 5-6 in Iowa City. The 2016 NCAA Wrestling Championships, hosted by Hofstra University, will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y. from March 17-19.

The Hoosiers will open their season on November 7 in Ypsilanti, Mich. with the EMU Open, followed by the Keystone Classic (Philadelphia, Pa.) on November 22. Indiana will host their first home dual on Saturday, December 5 at 1:00 p.m. ET against SIU-Edwardsville.
Following that, Indiana hits the road for their first Big Ten dual of the season, at Minnesota on December 11. They return to the University Gym that Sunday, December 13 for two duals against Eastern Michigan (1:00 p.m.) and Manchester (4:00 p.m.). A dual meet between Eastern Michigan and Manchester will take place between Indiana's duals.
The Hoosiers close the calendar year with two consecutive tournaments, all of which are on the road. First, they'll head to Reno, Nev. for the Reno Invitational on December 20. After that, they'll take part in one of two tournaments on December 29: The Ken Craft Midlands Championships (Evanston, Ill.), or the Lock Haven Invitational (Lock Haven, Pa.).
Indiana ushers in 2016 with a home dual on Sunday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m. ET, when they host Penn State. They'll remain at home through the week, and host Maryland on Friday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Hoosiers head to Michigan State for a dual meet on January 22, set to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET. They'll conclude their weekend with another away dual, this time at the University of Michigan, on January 24 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Indiana will host Ohio State on Friday, January 29 at 7:00 p.m. ET. They follow that with their final road away dual of the season, against the Iowa Hawkeyes, on Friday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Hoosiers close the regular season with three home duals. They'll take on in-state rival Purdue University on Sunday, February 7 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Indiana will conclude Big Ten play on Friday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. ET when they face Rutgers University.
