Hoosier Invitational Complete for IUXC

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana cross country wrapped up its regular season schedule with the Hoosier Invitational on Friday afternoon at the IU Championship Cross Country Course. Those who will not compete at the NCAA Regionals next week competed in Friday's event.
In the women's 5K, Indiana's Brenna Calder was the top finisher in a time of 18:33.7. Three Hoosiers followed her to the finish line in Kelsey Harris in second (18:48.5), Olivia Hippensteel in third (18:53.9) and Taylor Wiley in fourth (19:14.9).
Josh Roche led IU runners in the men's 8K with a third place finish in a time of 25:27.0. Other top 10 finishers for the Hoosiers included Eric Claxton in sixth (25:49.3), Connor Martin in seventh (25:50.5), Jordan Huntoon in eighth (26:26.8) and Joe Murphy in ninth (26:32.7).
The top finisher in the men's race was IU alum Ben Hubers who clocked in at 24:32.7. There were no team results for either race.
The NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet is up next for the Hoosiers on Nov. 13 in Madison, Wis.
