Baron and Schmider Win Doubles Draw at WMU Super Challenge

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana's Kim Schmider and Sarah Baron teamed up to win the main doubles draw at the WMU Super Challenge on Saturday as IU women's tennis continued competition at Western Michigan. The Hoosiers went 6-0 on the day in doubles play overall.
Schmider and Baron downed WMU's Katja Fevralev and Ella Perinovic 6-3 in the semifinals before defeating Silvia Ambrosio and Erin Gebes of Marquette in the finals, 6-4.
The Hoosier duos of Paula Gutierrez and Danielle Wolf along with Madison Appel and Sarah McLean also went 2-0 in doubles action on Saturday.
In singles play, IU's Paula Gutierrez picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Perinovic.
Indiana will wrap up the WMU Super Challenge on Sunday in Kalamazoo.
