Gutierrez, Schmider Win on Final Day at Western Michigan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team wrapped up the final day of the WMU Super Challenge on Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers won two singles matches on the day

IU's Paula Gutierrez defeated Marquette's Erin Gebes in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, for one of Indiana's victories.

The other came from Kim Schmider. She and Iowa's Kristen Thoms split the first two sets before Schmider outlasted Thoms in the final set to win, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3.

Indiana has now completed its fall schedule. The Hoosiers will return to the court again in January when they host the IU Winter Invitational.
