Feeney, Howard Collect First Team All-B1G; Six Total Offensive Players Recognized

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana redshirt junior right guard Dan Feeney and junior running back Jordan Howard collected first team All-Big Ten honors, the league announced Tuesday evening. Senior left tackle Jason Spriggs was a second team selection and senior quarterback Nate Sudfeld was a third team honoree.
The conference announced offensive award winners this evening, and two additional IU standouts received honorable mention recognition: sophomore wide receiver Simmie Cobbs, Jr., (coaches and media) and fifth-year senior tight end Michael Cooper (coaches and media). Feeney was recognized as a first-teamer by the media and a second-teamer by the coaches, while Howard, Spriggs and Sudfeld were selected to their respective teams by the coaches and media.
Fifth-year senior center Jake Reed was named Indiana's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner.
The league announced defensive and special teams award winners on Monday evening, and redshirt sophomore kicker Griffin Oakes was named the Bakken-Andersen Kicker of the Year and first team All-Big Ten. Five players secured honorable mention recognition: junior defensive tackle Darius Latham (coaches), senior defensive end Nick Mangieri (coaches and media), redshirt sophomore linebacker Marcus Oliver (media), redshirt junior return specialist Mitchell Paige and fifth-year senior bandit Zack Shaw (coaches).

Howard is second in the Big Ten with 134.8 rushing yards per game (10th nationally) and 146.6 all-purpose yards per game (15th). He owns 1,213 rushing yards (3rd in Big Ten; 24th nationally) on 196 carries (3rd), a 6.2 average (3rd; 26th), with nine rushing touchdowns (7th) and 10 total TDs (T-6th).
A candidate for the Doak Walker and Maxwell Awards, he became the 11th Hoosier (16th time) to reach 1,000 yards and is 12th on the program's all-time single-season list.
Howard owns 17 career 100-yard games, including in 10 of his last 13, and 12 150-yarders. He has six 100-yarders, five 150-yarders (T-4th nationally) and two 200-yarders (T-5th) this year, is fifth on the school's single-season list in 100-yard games and shares fourth in 150-yard and 200-yard games.
Feeney has allowed just one sack in 36 career starts at right guard (2,617 snaps). In 2015, he has not allowed a sack in 431 called pass attempts. The Orland Park, Ill., native owns a team-best 91 knockdowns in 967 snaps. Feeney was an Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award Watch Lister and a first team midseason All-America selection by ESPN.com.
Spriggs was named of one of six semifinalists for the 2015 Outland Trophy. He has allowed just two sacks in 431 called pass attempts and has 72 knockdowns in 972 snaps. The Concord, Ind., native started 28 consecutive games to begin his career and has made a team-high 46 starts in 47 games at left tackle. In 2014, Spriggs allowed just two sacks in 689 snaps and recorded 45 knockdowns.
Indiana shares first in the Big Ten and 11th nationally with 13 sacks allowed. The Hoosiers rank first in the conference in total offense (490.8; 18th nationally), passing offense (285.9; 24th) and scoring offense (36.2; 24th), and second in rushing offense (204.8; 37th).
IU has not led the conference in scoring offense since the league began using the entire season's statistics to determine the statistical champion in 1985. Indiana has not led the league in total offense since 1988. The Hoosiers would be the first team since Ohio State in 1995 to pace the Big Ten in total, passing and scoring offense.
Sudfeld, one of three finalists for the Wuerffel Trophy, is Indiana's all-time passing yardage (7,490) and passing touchdowns (58) leader. He is first in 200-yard (19), 300-yard (10) and 350-yard (5) games, tied for first in three-touchdown games (9), tied for second in completions (565) and 250-yard games (12), is third in total offense (7,602) and is fifth in attempts (932).
On the school's single-season list, his 3,184 yards are first, his six 300-yard games share first, his 24 touchdowns share second, his 3,225 total yards are third, his 219 completions are fifth and his 361 attempts are eighth.
Sudfeld leads the Big Ten in passing yards per game (289.5; 17th nationally), passing yards (3,184; 22nd), total offense per game (293.2; 20th), total offense (3,225; 25th), passing efficiency (153.9; 18th), yards per completion (14.5; 5th) and yards per attempt (8.8; T-14th), is tied for first in touchdowns (24; T-22nd), is second TD-INT ratio, is tied for third in fewest interceptions (5) and is tied for fourth in completion percentage (60.7).
Cobbs is third in the league in yards per catch (16.9), fourth in yards (914), which ranks eighth on the program's single-season list, and yards per game (76.2), and 10th in receptions (54) and receptions per game (4.5).
In Big Ten games only, Cobbs is first in yards per catch (18.1), second in yards (670) and yards per game (83.8), and tied for ninth in receptions (37) and receptions per game (4.6).
Cooper leads Indiana's tight ends with 16 receptions (4th on the team), 202 yards (4th) and two touchdowns. A key blocker for the Big Ten's top offense, Cooper earned IU offensive player of the week honors following the Western Kentucky and Iowa games.
